Having a Blog Disclaimer

As I have stated before I am astonished when people find themselves in my words. However at times I guess we all can at some point find ourselves in  the words and thoughts of another, be it by design or common interest. Sometimes this is a good thing, inspirational and uplifting,. At other times it can be offensive and lead to misunderstandings, confusion and such like.

 So once I decided to become a serious blogger I also found the need to have a blog disclamier.

 In the past on other blog sites that I use, I have actually had people  write me personal messages after reading one of my post and began to explain themselves or defend themselves as if the post was actually directed at and fully about them.

 In each case I was astonished, because most of my post are about ME, myself ,sheila and diva's daily life issues. About my own life, my own feelings,  my own thoughts, my own opinions, my own vanity, mistakes, short comings,family life, work relations, and such.

 It always surprises me when others take my words and actually put themselves in them, some to the point of anger and such like. Kinda reminded me of a song I once knew back in the 80's, the words said: "You're so vain I bet you think this song is about you".

Well after a few episodes of confrontation and misunderstandings, and even down right confussion, I decided i needed a disclaimer for my blog. However even with a disclaimer I have found that people still tend to find themselves in the words, but atleast with a disclaimer I can refer them back to the page that reads as follow:

Hi, thanks for the visit, I hope I share something that you find inspiring or atleast enjoyable but, My blog is always an original event and it is MY personal place- to be me,
share my art, release my thoughts, ideas and opinions.
My views are  just that, my views, they do not reflect the views of anyone other than myself. My views are subject to change from day to day, minute to minute, hour to hour as I grow and learn and relocate my feelings in all matters I may blog about.

So What do I get out of Blogging?

I have a need to write, I believe in being myself when blogging. I believe in sharing truth. To some people truth is painful. To me truth is freeing, it allows me to grow. This is the one place on earth I can write what I need to write, how I need to write it and when I need to write it. I may blog one post with one line, or many post with many lines. My blog is the one place where I am not restricted in my writing. Nor am I in bondage to it. Here the keyboard is my friend, my freedom, my weapon, my instrument,my avenue, my transportation, my being.

I AM an artist,poet,writer/web designer so expect to find ART,poetry,words,stories & design when you come here.
Keep in mind that, what I write here is for US…( me, myself, shelia, and diva) My opinions, ideas, thoughts and truths DO NOT need to be validated by others.. I KNOW who I am inside….so PleEEEase read at YOUR own risk.:))

Don’t assume that you “know” me, or anyone just because you read their blog each day, this is only a small part of the soul. It takes a life time to know a person and still we never really know one another. Heck, I am meeting a new part of me everyday. So simply take what you need or can use and leave the rest and don’t hold it against me if we should ever disagree on things.

Though most of my writing is usually personally motivated by daily life issues, news headlines, my african american culture and such like , my writing is not personally directed and or in offence to any one person, place, or thing, unless so stated. I do at times tend to judge, rant and vent on situations of life in general, new headlines, african american cultures and the way they affect me in my personal being, and my opinion of the situations in question.

 However, I do not make a habit of judging people in general. I Judge the situation, not the people.

 But, If one desires to find one’s self in my writing, then one probably will. And of that I hold no response or control.
Please dont take anything here personal, unless it has YOUR name on it,
NOTHING and I mean nothing i write in my blog is directly about any one person in this or any other online community. Unless clearly stated as such.

Please do not ask if the "person I was blogging about" is you, IT IS NOT. I may at time tend to use common names and or vague references to protect my own and others' privacy. I will not embarrass those of whom I write about, as I would hope none would not use the anominity of the internet or it's related tools to embarrass and or harm others.

Moreover, what I write here is about MY real life and the people I deal with everyday and most of all about ME,myself, shelia,& diva, and my issues, short comings, feelings, ideas and thoughts.

So please if you should read something here a poem or a note or a rant, a video, know in advance it is not about YOU.moveover,
I am woman enough to put a name on it if I feel the need to write about anyone here. And you can believe that!
